The miracle of community has blessed me tremendously this week.
This week has been really tough with all thats going on in the world currently. Everyone is being affected by it. This past week, my school went completely online and encouraged everyone to leave campus for everyone’s own safety.
This is all completely understandable, but by Monday, I was left in my apartment, alone, feeling more isolated than ever before.
Luckily, a few of my friends were still on campus. A few of them went hammock, and after one thing led to another, there were about 20 students outside, talking and hanging out with one another.
I know, this totally went against the CDC’s recommendations, but it was exactly what I needed in this time.
Although we aren’t allowed to hang out with one another in-person anymore, I wanted to remind you how important community is. Don’t let yourself get down during this time, only hearing about all the bad stuff going on in the world, or thinking about how much harder life will be now that we are stuck at home.
Because of how advanced technology is now, we don’t have to be in isolation just because we are in isolation. Find friends and community who you can have uplifting conversations with, those who will help you momentarily forget about all the bad things.
I am a Christian, and I believe the best solution for a hurting world is prayer. If you share my beliefs, I encourage you to do the same!
Until next time,
